The Boy

The film "The Boy" is an intimate portrait of a 9-year-old sociopath as he discovers his taste for killing. Jared Breeze plays the titular boy, who lives in a run-down motel in Colorado with his father John (David Morse), a good-hearted man struggling with alcoholism and neglecting his responsibilities towards his son. The family's isolation from society allows Ted to develop his violent behavior without social consciousness, leading him to form friendships with and manipulate guests, including a young boy who gets brutally beaten by his girlfriend's boyfriend.
