River of No Return

Matt Calder (Robert Mitchum), a widowed farmer, and his young son Mark, help Kay Weston, a saloon singer, search for her estranged husband. When they meet Harry Weston, a gambler and Kay's fiancé, he helps them escape from hostile Indians but later steals Matt's rifle and horse, prompting the trio to flee on a raft down the river. Along the way, they face various dangers, including strong rapids, hypothermia, and a mountain lion attack, as they journey towards Council City to file Harry's gold mining claim.
