The House of Fear

Basil Rathbone stars as Sherlock Holmes in "The House of Fear," a 1945 crime horror film based on Arthur Conan Doyle's short story "The Five Orange Pips." In this eerie tale, Holmes is visited by Mr. Chalmers, an insurance agent investigating the mysterious deaths of seven single men, known as the "Good Comrades," who reside in the remote Scottish castle of Drearcliff House. Nigel Bruce plays Dr. John Watson, who assists Holmes in unraveling the sinister plot behind these gruesome murders and ultimately exposes the truth about the victims' deaths.
