Double Suicide

In 18th-century Japan, paper-mill owner Jihei's obsession with courtesan Koharu leads him down a path of ruin, threatening his family and business. As their whirlwind romance unfolds, Jihei's schemes to buy her freedom ultimately yield devastating consequences.
