Marlee Matlin plays Amanda, a photographer who begins to question her role in life and her relationships with men as she encounters emotional and existential obstacles. As she considers the idea that individual and group consciousness can influence the material world, documentary-style interviews and computer-animated graphics illustrate the film's scientifically unsupported ideas about quantum physics and consciousness.
