Bhowani Junction

During the chaotic final days of British rule in northwest India in 1947, Victoria Jones, a beautiful Anglo-Indian woman torn between her Indian and English heritage, struggles to find her identity amidst the turmoil. Pursued by three men, including a rail-traffic superintendent, his Sikh subordinate, and a British colonel, she must navigate the complexities of her past and her loyalties as India inches towards independence, all while being pursued by Communists, led by a revolutionary known only as Davay.
