City Heat

In 1930s Kansas City, police lieutenant Speer (Clint Eastwood) and former cop turned private eye Mike Murphy (Burt Reynolds) team up to fight the mob after Swift's partner is slain. The two rivals are bitter enemies who were once good friends until Murphy left the force. As they work together, they both fall for Murphy's secretary Addy, while Murphy has a romantic interest in wealthy socialite Caroline Howley. A series of events leads to a final showdown between Speer and Murphy's adversaries.
