Painted Skin

"Painted Skin" is based on one of Pu Songling's classic short stories in Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio, and tells the story of General Wang Sheng (Chen Kun), who rescues a fox spirit named Xiao Wei (Zhou Xun) from a bandit camp. When Wang brings her home to his wife Peirong (Zhao Wei), trouble brews as Xiao Wei falls in love with the general. As the demon falls in love, strange events occur, including people disappearing or dying, leading to a confrontation between Peirong's husband and the demon hunter Pang Yong (Donnie Yen).
