Zhou Xun is a Chinese actress and singer regarded as one of the Four Dan Actresses of China. Born on October 18, 1974, she rose to prominence with Lou Ye's Suzhou River in 2000 and gained international fame for her roles in Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress. Zhou became the first Chinese actor to achieve the "Grand Slam" in 2009, winning Best Actress at three prestigious Chinese-language film awards.
