Brief Encounters

Nadia (Nina Ruslanova), a young woman from a village, moves to the city and becomes a maid in Valya's (Kira Muratova) apartment, where Valya is unaware that Nadia fell in love with her husband Maksim (Vladimir Vysotsky), who is away on expeditions. As Nadia lives under the same roof as Valya, she observes her strained relationship with Maksim and ultimately chooses to quietly leave their lives, choosing not to interfere with their bond.
