Spencer Tracy stars as Richard Sumner, the inventor of EMERAC ("Electronic Memory and Research Arithmetical Calculator"), a powerful early generation computer, in this 1957 romantic comedy film directed by Walter Lang. Katharine Hepburn plays Bunny Watson, a documentalist at the Federal Broadcasting Network, whose life is turned upside down when the company installs the computer, initially leading her to fear for her job. As Richard and Bunny grow closer, he reveals his romantic interest in her, but she is hesitant due to his attachment to computers. Ultimately, Bunny accepts Richard's marriage proposal after a test of his devotion.
