The Secret of the Grain

In southern France, an aging immigrant from the Maghreb pursues his dream of establishing a successful restaurant to leave a legacy for his large and disparate family, but faces sceptical opposition from the French bureaucracy. Determined by his long-term partner's daughter, he enlists her help in converting a dilapidated boat into a family restaurant that specializes in his ex-wife's iconic fish couscous. As the opening gala approaches, tensions rise among the extended family and the restaurateur must navigate bureaucratic red tape and personal conflicts to bring his vision to life.
