In Cold Blood

Told through flashback, two ex-convicts, Perry Smith and Richard "Dick" Hickock, concoct a plan to invade the farm home of the wealthy Clutter family in rural Kansas, resulting in the brutal murder of the entire family. The pair elude law enforcement by fleeing across the country, but their best-laid plans are ultimately foiled when they become the primary suspects in the investigation that follows.
