California Dreamin'

In the 2007 Romanian film "California Dreamin'", a small village in Oltenia is dramatically changed when the chief of the railway station, Doiaru, stops a NATO train transporting military equipment, leading to a four-day standoff that changes the lives of the villagers forever. Through periodic flashbacks, the film reveals Doiaru's complex past, including his childhood trauma and family tragedy, as well as the village's own struggles with corruption and identity.
