The Royal Hotel

In the Australian outback, two young American backpackers, Hanna and Liv, take a working holiday at the Royal Hotel, expecting to make some extra cash, but instead find themselves trapped in an unnerving situation that grows rapidly out of their control. The pub's owner, Billy, and his wife Carol, create a toxic environment marked by sexism, misogyny, and alcoholism, forcing Hanna to assert herself in the face of increasingly threatening behavior from the locals, including the charming but predatory Matty and the enigmatic Dolly. As tensions escalate, Hanna must find a way to protect herself and her friendship with Liv amidst the seething cultural differences and entrenched gender roles of their isolated community.
