They've swapped Christmas – again. Can Hayley and James' relationship survive another turbulent family Christmas or has their future together gone off-piste?! A year after the events of the previous film, the Hughes and Taylor families arrange to spend Christmas in the Austrian Alps together, but things go awry when they're accidentally switched between luxury and basic accommodations. As their bags arrive at their correct destinations, Hayley finds an engagement ring that leads her to mistakenly assume James is going to propose. The mix-up sets off a chain of events as the socially mismatched families try to make the best of their differences while Hayley struggles to fit in with James's posh upbringing.
