Another Day to Live Through

A young woman, played by Lene Kqiku, is looked after by a troubled ex-soldier in his secluded cabin in Finland, becoming trapped in a strange and disturbing cycle of danger and abuse. Shot in August 2020 but not released until three years later, this film combines the set-up of "Misery" with bits of "Devil's Island," eschewing conventional storytelling for deep art. The highlights include scenic Finnish locations, ambient music, and a nuanced performance from Lene Kqiku as the protagonist.
