Inside Story

On a dusty soccer pitch in Malindi, Kenya, young Kalu (Kevin Ndege Mamboleo) dreams of playing professional soccer for the "Malindi Sharks." His life changes dramatically when he receives an offer to play on a second-tier team in South Africa, and he must navigate his newfound opportunity amidst personal tragedy, including the accidental death of his father and exposure to HIV. Kalu makes the decision to pursue his soccer career, using part of his salary to support his mother and sister back home.
