Stalking Laura

A beautiful young computer technician named Laura Black (Brooke Shields) starts her career in Silicon Valley during the Eighties, only to be stalked and harassed by a nerdy, dangerous, and mentally-unstable colleague named Richard Farley (Richard Thomas). Under the guise of celebrating her birthday with a surprise party, Farley convinces a colleague to access and share information from Laura's personal dossier. As Laura's anxiety and fear escalate, she escalates her complaints to her boss, but finds little effect until it's too late, as Richard breaks into her garage, leaves a note on her windshield, and eventually kills several employees, including her friend Glenda Moritz, and attempts to take Laura hostage during a standoff at the KEI offices.
