In the summer of 1957, Italian automotive entrepreneur Enzo Ferrari (Adam Driver) prepares his racing team for the Mille Miglia, an open-road, endurance-based race lasting 1,000 miles, while grappling with both domestic and professional crises, including a tempestuous marriage with Laura Ferrari (Penélope Cruz), whose grief over their only son's death is complicated by Enzo's mistress, Lina Lardi. As the Mille Miglia commences in Brescia, Enzo's drivers face challenges, including Alfonso de Portago's fatal accident, and the team must navigate the consequences of this tragedy to secure their company's future.
