The film "Enigma" (2001) is based on the true story of the WWII project to crack the code behind the Enigma machine used by the Germans to encrypt messages sent to their submarines. Tom Jericho (Dougray Scott), a Cambridge mathematician, joins forces with Hester Wallace (Kate Winslet), Claire Romilly's housemate, to decipher intercepted signals and uncover the truth about Claire's disappearance.
