The Comedy of Terrors

In the late 19th century New England town of New Gilead, unscrupulous undertaker Waldo Trumbull (Vincent Price) runs a funeral parlor with the help of fugitive picklock Felix Gillie (Peter Lorre). To pay his overdue rent, Trumbull murders wealthy residents to increase business, leading to absurd and chaotic consequences. Meanwhile, Trumbull's troubled marriage to Amaryllis (Joyce Jameson) and her growing feelings for Gillie add to the mayhem, culminating in a thrilling finale that showcases the talents of a talented ensemble cast, including Boris Karloff as Amos Hinchley and Basil Rathbone as John F. Black, Esq.
