Dr. Cara Harding (Julianne Moore), a female forensic psychiatrist, discovers that all of one of her patient's multiple personalities are murder victims. She will have to find out what's happening before her time is finished. Her investigation leads her to a mysterious witch doctor known as 'Granny' who seems to be connected to the murders. Cara must confront her own faith and the supernatural forces at work, ultimately uncovering a dark secret that threatens those she loves.
