Carry on Dick

In 1750s England, King George II establishes the Bow Street Runners to combat crime and lawlessness. Captain Desmond Fancey (Kenneth Williams) is tasked with catching notorious highwayman Dick Turpin (Sidney James), who has evaded capture multiple times. The captain enlists the help of Sergeant Jock Strapp and Reverend Flasher, but soon discovers that the rector leads a double life, hiding his true identity as Turpin. Meanwhile, Madame Desiree (Joan Sims) and her "Birds of Paradise" arrive in the village, adding to the chaos.
