Biography
Irene Joan Marion Sims was a British actress and comedienne, best remembered for her roles in the Carry On franchise, appearing in 24 films. She also gained television fame with notable appearances as Gran in Till Death Us Do Part and Madge Hardcastle in As Time Goes By. Born on May 9, 1930, Sims began performing at a young age, putting on shows for waiting passengers at her father's railway station home.
