The Iron Maiden

Jack Hopkins, an aircraft designer, owns a traction engine called The Iron Maiden. His boss, Sir Giles Thompson, wants to sell a supersonic jet to American millionaire Paul Fisher, who is also interested in buying The Iron Maiden from Jack. After a series of mishaps involving the engine and Fisher's daughter Kathy, Jack and Fisher become unlikely friends when Fisher helps Jack's fireman, Fred Trotter, by driving the engine to the annual Woburn Abbey steam rally.
