Biography

Cecil Parker was a British character and comedy actor known for his distinctive husky voice. Born Cecil Schwabe in Hastings, Sussex, he began his theatrical career in London in 1922 before serving in World War I. He made his first film appearance in 1933 and went on to appear in over 90 films, including adaptations of A.J. Cronin's novels and roles in comedies starring the likes of Morecambe and Wise.
