Stir

Stir is a 1980 Australian prison drama film directed by Stephen Wallace and written by Bob Jewson, who draws on his own experience as an inmate at Bathurst Gaol during the 1974 prison riot. The film stars Bryan Brown, Max Phipps, Dennis Miller, Gary Waddell, and Phil Motherwell, and was shot in Clare Valley, Gladstone, and the Flinders Ranges in South Australia over five weeks in October and November 1979.
