Biography

Maxwell John Phipps was an Australian actor born in Dubbo on November 18, 1939. He began his acting training at Ensemble Theatre in Sydney at the age of 21 and went on to appear in notable roles such as Prime Minister Gough Whitlam in The Dismissal (1983) and Toadie in Mad Max 2 (1981). Phipps also had a stint as Dr Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Show.
