Independence Daysaster

When Earth is attacked by a hostile alien force, a small town firefighter and a rogue SETI scientist team up to activate the only technology capable of defeating the invaders. In Moose Ridge, Oregon, U.S. President Sam Garsette arrives home for the Fourth of July celebrations, but his ship's unexpected rerouting leads to an alien invasion. As the townspeople fight for survival, Pete convinces Secret Service agents to take the children away while he attempts to help them, finding Celia Layman broken down on the side of the road and teaming up with her to disable the aliens' technology. With the help of Sam Garsette, they devise a plan to defeat the invaders by using a drone-mounted device that disables their connection with an alien mothership, allowing them to successfully destroy the ships.
