The Boob

In the 1926 silent romantic comedy film "The Boob" (released in the UK as "The Yokel"), George K. Arthur plays Peter Good, a naive country boy who tries to capture a group of local bootleggers to impress his childhood friend Amy, played by Gertrude Olmstead. As Peter and his friends, including Joan Crawford's character Jane, an undercover Prohibition agent, follow the bootleggers' trail, they ultimately lead to a thrilling confrontation that results in the arrest of the ring leader, Harry Benson (Tony D'Algy). In the end, Amy apologizes to her father and kisses Peter, who is rewarded with five thousand dollars for his bravery.
