Hank Mann

Biography

Hank Mann was a Russian-born American comedian and silent screen star who began his career as an original Keystone Cop with Mack Sennett in the early days of film comedy. He later transitioned to supporting roles in Charlie Chaplin's films and became a popular bit player in talkies, appearing in notable dramas like The Maltese Falcon and Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. Mann also worked alongside fellow comedians Chester Conklin and the Three Stooges.
