A mysterious man from California inherits a manor in a Northeast town at Christmastime, only to find that someone has escaped a local asylum and key citizens feel increasingly threatened, especially after creepy phone calls that hint at a dark holiday past. The story unfolds with a series of gruesome murders that shake the small community, uncovering a web of secrets and tragedy tied to a former insane asylum and its enigmatic owner, Wilfred Butler. As the body count rises, Jeffrey, the heir's grandson, must confront his family's sinister legacy in order to survive the horrors of Christmas Eve.
