Walter Abel

Biography

Walter Abel was a renowned American stage and film character actor whose career spanned nearly seven decades, beginning with his Broadway debut in 1919's "Forbidden" and followed by notable roles in Eugene O'Neill's "Desire Under the Elms" and Anton Chekhov's "The Seagull". He appeared in numerous films and theater productions, cementing his status as a versatile and accomplished performer. Abel was also married to concert harpist Marietta Bitter until his death in 1987.
