Nightfall

In the world of Aeon, where three suns have never set, panic erupts as the suns slowly disappear one by one, threatening the end of the world as they know it. David Birney stars as Aton, an astronomer and leader of the city, struggling against superstition as science struggles to comprehend the approaching Nightfall. As the society crumbles, a cult leader named Sor (Alexis Kanner) emerges, leading the Believers in a philosophical war of words that becomes a personal crisis for Aton. Based on Isaac Asimov's classic story "Nightfall", this 1988 sci-fi film explores themes of science vs. religion and the human approach to life crises.
