A 14-year-old girl named Corrie Ortiz (Krissy Perez) trains a talking racehorse named Thunder Jam (TJ), who has issues, and transforms him into a winner by using her "confidence of horses" gift and music to overcome his fear of the starting gates, ultimately helping him win the Gold Rush Derby.
