A Ring of Endless Light

Mischa Barton stars as Vicky Austin, a 15-year-old girl who faces unexpected challenges when visiting her grandfather on Seven Bay Island. She must cope with his serious illness, her budding romance with Zachary Gray (Jared Padalecki), and helping Adam Eddington (Ryan Merriman) with a research project involving a dolphin named Basil, with whom Vicky discovers she can communicate telepathically. As they work together to expose the illegal use of drift nets threatening dolphins, Vicky's grandfather ultimately passes away, leaving her a new book to write her poetry in.
