Born Equal

Born Equal follows four individuals living in one London neighbourhood, each with dramatically different lives and struggles. Mark (Colin Firth), a city banker, grapples with guilt over his wealthy lifestyle and begins to use his wealth to help the homeless after encountering a beggar. Robert (Robert Carlyle), a convicted murderer, forms a relationship with Michelle (Anne-Marie Duff) in a hostel, while Yemi (David Oyelowo), a Nigerian immigrant journalist, works to raise money to bring his father from Nigeria. The film explores themes of poverty, class, and inequality through the interconnected stories of its characters.
