The Man I Love

In this 1947 film noir melodrama, Ida Lupino stars as Petey Brown, a tough torch singer who finds herself entangled in a web of trouble when she returns to her family in Los Angeles after visiting her loved ones in New York City. Her life becomes complicated with shady nightclub owner Nicky Toresca and his associates, but things take an unexpected turn when she meets San Thomas, a down-and-out ex-jazz pianist who captures her heart.
