In this powerful and biting Western, Robert Taylor stars as Lance Poole, a Medal of Honor recipient who returns home to Medicine-Bow after three years of war, only to face bigotry and greed that shatters his hopes for a peaceful life on the family land. A law designed to deprive Native Americans of their rights is used against him, and Poole must fight for his people's indigenous rights. Despite a valiant effort by a female lawyer, Poole is ultimately forced to take drastic action to defend himself and his community.
