Meet the Applegates

In a bizarre and darkly comedic twist on the suburban idyll, "Meet the Applegates" follows a family of mutant shapeshifters from Brazil who take on human form to infiltrate an Ohio neighborhood and bring about a nuclear holocaust that would rid the world of humans. As they settle into their new lives, however, their carefully constructed façade begins to crumble, revealing the flaws and vices that make them all too human - with tragic consequences. The film takes a satirical look at humanity's darker aspects, exploring themes of alienism, terrorism, and the American Dream gone awry.
