William Glenn Shadix was an American actor and comedian, best known for his roles as Otho Fenlock in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice and the voice of the Mayor of Halloween Town in The Nightmare Before Christmas. Born on April 15, 1952, in Bessemer, Alabama, he studied at Birmingham–Southern College before transitioning to Hollywood in 1977. Shadix appeared in several notable films, including Demolition Man and Planet of the Apes.
