Traceroute

Traceroute is an exhilarating tour de farce into the guts of trauma, obsession and cognitive capitalism, featuring artist Johannes Grenzfurthner on a personal road trip from the West Coast to the East Coast of the USA, introducing audiences to places and people that shaped and inspired his art and politics. Along the way, he visits icons of the counterculture, the outré, and the generally questionable, in search of answers about nerddom's past, present, and future. With its cinematic collage of 1990s fanzine and punk aesthetics, BBS culture, ANSI art and fantastic art, Traceroute is a collaborative exploration of creativity that reinforces the importance of looking back to the past as well as looking forward to the future of the digital age.
