Dick Tracy Meets Gruesome

In this zany adventure yarn, Dick Tracy (Ralph Byrd) and his trusty sidekick Pat are called in to investigate a series of intriguing bank robberies where customers and staff are poleaxed by a nerve gas that enables the robbers to calmly rob without anyone noticing. The dastardly mastermind behind it all is none other than Gruesome, a formidable foe played by Boris Karloff, whose antics provide some of the film's most outlandish moments. As Tracy delves deeper into the case, he concocts a clever plan to lure Gruesome into a trap, leading to a climactic showdown at the plastic factory that will leave only one man standing – and even then, the gas gets him in the end.
