Shadow of Fire

In post-war Japan, a woman lives alone in a tavern that survived a fire bombing, struggling to survive amidst a black market where prostitution thrives. She is frequently visited by men who exploit her vulnerability, but one character, Shuri, plays a significant role in her life as she navigates the harsh realities of her new world. The film explores the trauma and struggles faced by war orphans like herself in the immediate aftermath of WWII.
