The Soul of a Monster

In "The Soul of a Monster," Dr. George Winson (George Macready) is nearly dead, but thanks to his wife Ann's (Jeanne Bates) desperate prayers and the intervention of hypnotist Lilyan Gregg (Rose Hobart), he miraculously recovers. As Winson's health improves, however, he becomes increasingly cold and cruel, under Gregg's mysterious influence. With help from Dr. Roger Vance (Jim Bannon) and a counteroffensive by Ann and her friends, Winson ultimately breaks free from Gregg's spell and confronts the hypnotist in a thrilling showdown that ends with his true fate revealed.
