The Walking Dead is a 1936 American science fiction horror film about a wrongly executed man named John Ellman (Boris Karloff), who is restored to life by a scientist, Dr. Evan Beaumont (Edmund Gwenn). Ellman seeks revenge against those who framed him for murder, with each of his pursuers meeting a gruesome death. After Ellman's eventual demise, Dr. Beaumont reflects on the consequences of playing God, echoing biblical verse as he is joined by another person in death.
