Set against the backdrop of World War II's devastating Blitz, Steve McQueen's powerful new film tells a story of resilience, community, and the unbreakable bonds of family. Based on real events, the film follows nine-year-old George, a mixed-race boy who is evacuated from London to the countryside but refuses to stay away from his mother Rita for long. As he embarks on a perilous journey back home amidst the chaos and destruction, George encounters both kindness and cruelty, forging an unforgettable path through one of history's darkest periods.
