Overboard

Goldie Hawn plays Joanna Stayton / Annie Proffitt, a spoiled, wealthy socialite who develops amnesia after falling from her yacht while vacationing on the Oregon Coast. She is taken in by the working-class carpenter Dean Proffitt (Kurt Russell), whom she mistreated, and eventually learns to adapt to his unconventional family life. As Joanna masters her new responsibilities, she learns about the boys' school and family issues, and helps Dean design a miniature golf course. In the end, Joanna returns to her true life with Grant Stayton III, but ultimately realizes that she was happier with Dean and his sons.
