We Still Kill the Old Way

We Still Kill the Old Way (Italian: A ciascuno il suo) is a 1967 Italian crime drama that tells the story of Professor Paolo Laurana, played by Gian Maria Volonté, as he investigates the murder of his friend Arturo Manno and uncovers a web of corruption and deceit in their small town. Along the way, Laurana's personal life becomes entangled with that of Luisa Roscio, the widow of Manno's murdered companion, played by Irene Papas. As Laurana gets closer to the truth, he finds himself in increasing danger from powerful forces, including the mafia and corrupt politicians. The film is based on the novel To Each His Own by Leonardo Sciascia and won several awards, including Best Screenplay at the 1967 Cannes Film Festival.
